Traveling with friends has its highs and lows.

Traveling with friends is always a great time, but there are tons of reasons why you should shake things up once in a while and travel solo. We found this great article on the Global Grasshopper Blog  by Lee Hubbard that provides some insight on the good, the bad, the highs and the lows  of traveling with friends.
At Globetrotters, we recommend traveling with a group of friends less than five people — otherwise, it can be hard to coordinate travel plans. Also, it’s important to find a travel buddy who has similar interests. What if one of you likes history, and the other likes the nightclub scene? What if one person loves trying weird, exotic local food — and the other one gets daily McDonald’s cravings?

What are your experiences traveling with friends? What are the qualities of a good “travel buddy”?
